San Diego, Calif. — August 6, 2003 - SmartDraw.com, the leading provider of easy-to-use software for business graphics, has been named in Deloitte & Touche's prestigious "Technology Fast 50" program for the third straight year. The award honors the fastest-growing technology companies in the San Diego area based on revenue growth in the last five years.
Despite a prolonged downturn in the economy, particularly in the internet sector, SmartDraw.com experienced rapid revenue growth from 1998 to 2003.

To qualify for the Technology Fast 50, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 1998 and $1,000,000 in 2002. They must be public or private companies headquartered in North America, and must be a "technology company," as defined by owning proprietary technology that contributes to a large portion of the company's operating revenues.
Winners of the 20 regional Technology Fast 50 programs are automatically entered in the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500 program, which ranks North America's top 500 fastest-growing technology companies.
